ADOBE INDESIGN AUTOMATION

PUBLICATION ORGANISER

Publication Organiser allows product information, commercial information and image material to be formatted automatically.

Preparing price lists, brochures, catalogues, door-to-door leaflets and POS material is a labour-intensive process. Adobe InDesign automation enables you to automatically format structured data files from a PIM or other source system using intelligent templates. Corrections can be made in the source files, and automatically reflected in the layout right up to the final iteration. This saves a lot of time and money while vastly shortening the lead time for such publications. Corrections can me made until the last moment.

Publication Organiser ensures that content can be planned by marketing manager and category managers with a high degree of flexibility. The Planner gives access to various templates that you can choose. Data resources can easily be linked to templates and content can be planned to the relevant pages. Without the intervention of DTP, previews are automatically created in the background by Adobe InDesign server.  Also a live connection to a PIM system can be made.


Users of the platform can easily update Excel files and automatically update the new data to the pages. This process can be repeated till every product is in the right place. When the content is “organized” Adobe InDesign server will be triggered and pages will be automatically generated. If needed DTP can finetune the layout and art direction. Publication Organiser has a standard integration with Elvis DAM for automatic image delivery.

 

Workflow
The platform provides workflow collaboration for all stakeholders in the creation and publication process. Marketing managers and category managers can easily make online annotations on Adobe Indesign files and request changes in the layout. DTP checks the InDesign file out of the platform, makes changes and checks the file in again. Marketing or category management wil get a trigger that changes have been made and can be approved. Still price- and product updates can be updated by uploading new Excel files.

Online Editor
You can choose to publish information as it comes from the source systems, but often you also want to add other elements. Think about images, marketing texts and editorials. These can easily be added  to publications with the integrated online editor. The online editor als allows you to edit online the Adobe Indesign pages. When approved the final PDF files can be shared with the printer.

For Adobe InDesign automation we use Adobe Indesign desktop- and server plugins from 65Bit/ EasyCatalog.

In the Graphit Content Creation Platform you can compose, enrich, preview, edit and approve publications.

Elements that need to be published can be collected with the Publication Organizer from different source systems (databases / Excel). You can choose to publish information as it comes from the source systems, but often you also want to add other elements. Think about images, marketing texts and editorials. These can easily be added to publications. In the workflow, product managers, purchasing and marketing work together on the creation of all publications for online and offline.
