CASE: ELSEVIER

One Business, a joint venture of New Skool Media and Reed Business Information, has been the publisher of Elsevier magazine and Investor Interests since January 2017.

THE CHALLENGE

After an extensive research in which all editorial and publication processes were mapped, Graphit has set up an editorial platform for creating all editorial content for the magazines and for the websites. An important requirement was that they wanted to outsource the entire IT management of the platform to Graphit. An unambiguous working method has also been chosen with which articles can be placed on the websites in a simple manner from the editorial process for the magazines. All content is stored in one digital asset management system so that it can always be reused for new publications.

THE WORKOUT

WoodWing Studio was chosen as the editorial platform and WoodWing Assets as the Digital Asset Management system. Via the platform it is possible to publish editorial content written for the print edition in Adobe InCopy at article level as XML to web and mobile. Thanks to the integrated workflow and DAM solution, Elsevier has realized a particularly efficient publication process.

The applications are hosted and managed by Graphit.

Graphit provides support and management of the platforms and maximum uptime of the processes. During the production of the various titles, the Graphit helpdesk supports key users with any questions and / or problems.
